Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to learn SQL to access my Data?
No, with Sourcetable you can analyze your data using spreadsheet syntax or no-code GUI.

Advanced users can write still SQL, if preferred.
What apps can I import my data from?
Sourcetable has over 100 applications and databases to import your data from. Stripe, MySQL, Google Ads, Klaviyo, Jira, and QuickBooks to name a few. To see the full list check out our integrations page.
How often does my data update?
Sourcetable syncs data every 5 to 15 minutes — more than sufficient for most business needs. Faster sync times are available on our enterprise plans.
What database types connect to Sourcetable?
Sourcetable syncs to most common databases including MySQL, Postgres, SQLite, MongoDB and MariaDB.

Custom solutions are also available for syncing data from common data warehouses including AWS, Big Query, Azure Synapse, and others.
Can I use JSON data in a spreadsheet?
Yes. Sourcetable makes it easy to parse JSON and list data using the =Query formula. A GUI is also provided to assist users with more advanced queries (just point and click to select data).
How much data can I analyze in a spreadsheet?
Sourcetable’s large scale data storage solution makes it easy to query and analyze data that won’t fit into Google Sheets or Excel. We currently limit max import size to 10gb per file.

For best performance, we recommend using filters, pivots or aggregates to reduce the size of data on screen.

Analyzing data is easy, just refer to your data tables using the following spreadsheet syntax: =tableName[columnName].
